Welcome to the Cariboo Room!
About your room:
This bedroom shares the hallway bathroom with the Monashee room. Towels are located under the sink, along with spare hand towels and bathmats, if required.
There are extra towel hooks located on the wall behind the door in your room.
This giant bunk bed was custom made by local carpenter, Cam Beaudry. We love it!
Art in this room is by Katie Jeanne Reim of Final Switchback. The three prints feature trees which are all native to the area; Whitebark Pine, Western Hemlock & Douglas Fir.
Please point out to any children that there are framed prints on the wall, and to take care when climbing/ descending the ladder so that they don’t get knocked.
There is limited floor space in this room (in exchange for ample sleeping room), but we’ve taken care to provide some storage solutions in the closet. There is also additional room for empty suitcases or bags in the closet of the Purcell Room.
Spare linens for the three upstairs bedrooms are located in the closet of the Purcell Room.
Blackout shades operate by pulling down.
Bedding, towels, and mattress are Silk & Snow
Although we have Air Conditioning in the unit, the upstairs floor remains warmer than the main level or lower level. In the summer months, we recommend keeping the temperature on the main level cool in order to ensure a comfortable sleeping temperature. We also recommend cracking the window open when going to bed, as the outside temperature usually drops to around 10C due to the elevation.
The bedside lights operate by both a switch (on the cord) AND a turn knob on the light itself. If either one is off, the light will not turn on.
