Why “ Whitebark Pine”?
Whitebark Pine is a remarkable species of pine found in high concentration on the slopes at Panorama Mountain resort.
Whitebark Pine are a both an endangered species and a keystone species (meaning they have a disproportionately large impact on their ecosystem).
In 2023 Panorama became a certified Whitebark Friendly Ski Area by the Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada. We believe in the work that is being done to restore populations of Whitebark Pine and wish to draw attention to the cause.

Meet Lisa and Dave, your hosts
We have three wonderful, energetic kids: Nate, Joey, and Madi. As a family, we love all things mountain & outdoors; hiking & backpacking, skiing, biking, trail running, swimming in lakes and more! Our home base is in Calgary but we travel to mountains frequently and are so excited to finally have a mountain base to play - and share with you all!
